Packet Boat House is located on the south side of Packet Boat Lane, Cowley, approximately 900 metres from Yiewsley town centre and 2.5 km from Uxbridge town centre.

Packet Boat Lane currently contains two distinct building types. The eastern end (closest to the High Road) is predominantly residential with many 1930s semi-detached houses. The northern end is characterised by modern three storey office buildings with pitched roof of which Packet Boat House is a prime example.

ZEDHomes intends to extend and enhance the character and appearance of the existing buildings. The design will deliver a visually exciting and stimulating building that will bring additional vitality and interest to the area. In addition to providing additional employment opportunities a much needed public service will be provided in the form of a new medical practice.

The development will conform to ZED principles, with Low and Zero Carbon Technology integrated into the design.

At Packet Boat House ZEDHomes will deliver:

  • 32 new and affordable studio, one and two-bedroom flats
  • 6,781 sq. ft of work space to house a medical practice and self-contained offices.
  • Green energy, bio-mass boiler
  • A car pool for residents that will reduce car usage and parking requirements
