BridgeZed will be a 'cutting-edge', carbon-neutral residential development consistent with its central location in vibrant Pinner. With level access and an 8-person passenger lift all apartments will be readily accessible by wheelchair users.

The site is located to the rear of 71 Bridge Street and is accessed from Bridge Street between 71 Bridge Street and the Post Office. To the south-west lies the main line railway and Metropolitan railway tracks. There are proposals by others to establish a rear service road in the immediate vicinity and our scheme has been created with these proposals in mind.

The site has been vacant for some considerable time and is currently extremely dilapidated. The condition of the site currently has a negative impact on its surroundings; it is underutilised and offers a high degree of development potential.

Visual of completed building Our proposal is for a residential development of one and two-bedroom apartments set back behind the existing frontage of retail and residential development. The proposed height of the development is in context with the four storey Lidl supermarket sited on higher ground to the immediate north west of the site.

The design is such that the living rooms to the one-bedroom flats will face south-west for optimum solar heat gain and this orientation also allows maximum privacy for residents and neighbouring properties.

Our environmentally sustainable scheme will minimise energy consumption, make optimal use of renewable energy sources and will contribute to the GLA's target of a Carbon Neutral Scheme in each London Borough by 2010.
