Land Buyer

The position

  1. To identify, investigate and report on development opportunities throughout the U.K
  2. Processing leads from Agents, Trade publications, recommendations from previous providers
  3. Primary focus will be on preparation of information to facilitate land acquisition by evaluating land opportunities, producing land development appraisals, establish financial viability and feasibility of the development sites.
  4. Initial liaison with Planners to discuss development opportunities and relaying specific project information to enable them to advise on suitability.
  5. Undertaking market research to validate prices.
  6. Preparation of documentation for submission for tenders, expressions of interest, and investment opportunities.
  7. Participate in the initial designing of schemes with in-house Architect.

  3. A team player, intuitive, persuasive, with the ability to network
  4. Dedicated to working to a very high standard.
  5. Flexible and able to multi-task

The skills

  1. Fully conversant with the planning process and understand UDP's and their purpose.
  2. Have the ability to write concise and accurate reports and be fully conversant with the preparation of spreadsheets. Working knowledge of Excel is essential.
  3. Understand maps and drawings and interpret them visually if required.
  4. Be highly numerate.
  5. Previous experience of surveying, architecture, or estate agency would be highly desirable.
