The current rate at which we use fossil fuels to fulfil our buildings' energy requirements is unsustainable. The technology and ability exists to significantly reduce the strain we place on the earth's natural resources and ZEDHomes believe it is inexcusable not to put this knowledge to good use. ZEDHomes has committed itself to using better design and smarter thinking to significantly reduce the strain our buildings place on the one world we all share.

ZEDHomes is the most socially and environmentally aware developer in the country. The traditional way homes and work places are built is neither suitable nor sustainable. Traditional boxes no longer suit the way we live or work and our environment cannot sustain the strain traditional buildings place on our precious natural resources.

ZEDHomes builds low and zero carbon developments - buildings that are both affordable to buy and affordable to run. ZEDHomes uses proven technology to minimise the energy demands of our buildings and provides alternative energy sources that place no demands on our environment. In order to achieve low and zero carbon developments we must heat and power our buildings from renewable energy sources. To achieve this ZEDHomes creates buildings that require just one fifth of the amount of energy demanded by traditionally built buildings.

ZEDHomes creates homes and workplaces that are spacious, comfortable and filled with natural light. They are stylish, finished with natural materials and easy to maintain and clean. They are warm in the winter and cool in the summer and provide for all the amenities of modern living. All residential units have access to gardens or balconies and enjoy the benefit of communal outdoor spaces and areas for relaxation and recreation. ZEDHomes blend affordable, shared ownership and private homes together and where possible include local shops, pubs, cafes and workspaces. This helps residents spend less time travelling and more time living. The majority of ZEDHomes' developments will provide car pools to reduce car dependency and ordering and storage facilities will be provided to encourage home deliveries.
